Now would someone remind me how this man got the nickname, Charm? Because I can’t see and never did see it. Charm-less finally got the boot on Tool Academy 2. Maybe there were tools more deserving to leave before him and it was just his turn this week? IDK

Let’s hope Charm-less didn’t damage his money-making face when he tried to strangle Hillbilly Stew. I guess they don’t have a “no fight” rule on this show. Which must be scary on a reality show like this where there is an abundance of socially dangerous people.

As far as Charm was concerned everything was a-okay in the bed department with Andrea but she disagreed. He sounded like a minute man and said his modeling career made him so busy he couldn’t take time out to romance his woman properly. Counselor Dolenz then asked him how busy could he be if he managed to fool around with other women? Good one, Trina!

They actually left in the limo together but hopefully once Andrea watches the show on TV she can get up the courage to throw his charming a** out…anyone for Andrea on Toolette Academy?

This week on Tool Academy 2, the Fidelity Cheerleading Competition proved too much for Old Tool Jon, he’s 31, as he showed us when he stood by and looked on as his girlfriend Tracy did all the cheering. You could tell his days were numbered at the Academy. And to top it off, when he got eliminated HE actually broke it off with his girlfriend - not the other way around. That was probably the nicest thing he could have done for her because staying with a tool like that on purpose (5 years? ugh) meant she had major problems on her own.

Is this the look of a man who isn’t going to cheat anymore?

After watching her clueless and heartbroken face when he broke up with her, I think VH1 should have a spin-off of Tool Academy for all the cast-off girlfriends; anyone for Toolette Academy?

The tools and toolettes reunited for a chance to go over old times and reminisce about the fun fights, tamtrums, who called who a #*@##, etc..

Here are some updates:

Shawn thinks he’s been Mr. Awesome his whole life but he also agrees that he’s still a tool. He’s not with either girl, no surprise. PLUS, he made a girl named Heather pregnant who he met at a gas station. Oh how romantic!

Celebrity and his girl are still not together. (I didn’t even recognize her) He tried to apologize but she didn’t want him to touch her.

Ashley wanted to fight with Krista about saying Krista buys kitty litter from someone like Ashley. Krista chickened out and didn’t duke it out.

Later, she and Tommy had an enormous fight ending with a breakup, tears, and Tommy dismantling the bingo tables in the back stage area.

Mega, the record producer, called Kooky haircut boy Shawn a clown and told him he belongs in a cage and is very insecure.

There are clearly no Mr. Awesomes just plenty of Tools in this Academy.

This week on VH1’s Tool Academy the men had to earn the women’s trust in order to get the trust badge. For that to happen they had to come clean on their past and take a lie detector test.

Some of them told the truth but Rob didn’t even take the test before he collapsed from anxiety and was sent away in an ambulance. Karine was told about Rob’s unfaithfulness and ambulance ride and was shaken. But when he got back they left together so they could work on their relationship like the rest of us (not in front of a camera).

Then it was time for the competition and the women had to go through an obstacle course blindfolded with the guys directing them. Matsuflex won again with Jenna infuriating the other women because they thought 3 times is enough. Whatever! Then all the guys minus Tommy got a Tool Academy tatoo. But in the end NO ONE got eliminated (most likely because of Rob’s leaving the tool shed.)

On this weeks Tool Academy the Tools and their women had to learn about maturity and growth. They started off with being shown their pre-show 5 year plan. Most of the guys had written about having millions, women, and material things. All except Karine and Rob who had a down-to-earth plan about marriage and children. Tommy came in second with his desire to have a child with Krista who already has two children. She deflated his statement by telling him maybe after he got a job.
After that session, each couple had to work on a new plan as a couple. That one worked out much better with the exception of Margo and Mega who couldn’t get together on a plan that pleased both of them.
The Maturity Challenge was a fun game where each couple had to go through three competitions involving food, shelter, and water Cro-magnan style. Like throwing sticks at a plywood mastadon until it fell, fill a bucket with water with a fake leaf, and build a 3 foot fake rock structure and place the woman in it. Tommy did well but Margo and Mega won instead so they got to go one a romantic date. The rest of the competitors felt they weren’t a real couple but just friends who shouldn’t be here.
Then Shawn and Matsuflex had a drunken brawl which I fast forwarded (I DVR most shows now and I love it!!!)
The funniest part of the show was the guys singing (or their weak attempt) the Tool Academy theme song with the help of singing coach Professor David. It was pitiful but entertaining.
So who was the tool of the night to get cast out into the cold cruel world? Mega. But not because he was the tool but because his girlfriend Margo was the tool. The judges’ reasoning was twisted though because she couldn’t commit to a future with Mega. I thought she showed maturity by knowing she wouldn’t be living with Mega forever. But that doesn’t make her a tool.

This week in the therapy room on Tool Academy, Trina Dolenz wanted to teach the couples about humility. One guy didn’t even know what humility was and thought it had to do with humor. The test was saying the truth while wearing a bullet proof vest. Huh?

Poor Shawn the stickyup hairdo’d guy cried and poured his guts out. Rob even stepped up and spoke the truth. wow Could this actually be working? Or else, the writers let them have more time to study their lines. Josh the “Tiny Tool” said he wanted to fess up to his girl Ashley about his disrespectful ways so he told her he thought his girl was fat and a 6. Clarence (Celebrity) told the truth about not wanting to change and prefering his toolish lifestyle. So she got to whale on a punching bag to get her anger out. The Humility Challenge was held at Universal Studios. They had to raise the most money in order to win and had to act the fool and humble themselves. Rob let people kick and punch him for a buck and got third place. Tommy got second and Shawn won first.

Because he said he wouldn’t change and for his showing off at the challenge, Clarence got expelled and his girl Cameron dumped him. Not a good night for him…

Trina Dolenz, Tool Counselor

The theme for last night’s VH1’s Tool Academy was fidelity and there certainly was not much of that present among the tools. During the therapy session with Therapist Trina Dolenz, each couple was shown hidden camera footage of the guys with cute makeup artists/actors who set up the guys by flirting with them. While a few of the guys passed the test, the majority of the “tooltestants” showed their true colors and mortified their clueless girlfriends.

And it was at the end of the “fidelity challenge” that Jamiee walked out when she found out her boyfriend had been having a relationship with his previous girlfriend of 6 years. The self-admitted tool, sticky-up hairdo’d Shawn made the other tools look like saints.

The second challenge was a dance competition and most of the couples muddled their way through but Joey had no connection with his partner, Ashley. Maybe he was too nervous but it looked like he was dancing with a mop. Plus, it looked like he had more connection with the fake makeup girl than Ashley.

Joey was eliminated for those reasons but Ashley the “toolette” actually took him back and they left in the limo together. Delusional. I won’t say they have a chance because the way the show portrays all of the couples makes it look like they are ALL are wasting their time with each other.

Tool Academy airs on VH1. Episode #3 will be on January 25 

On the premiere of VH1’s Tool Academy Sunday night, all nine contestants were enrolled in a program to make them better men. Each week they will be counseled along with their girlfriends and in this episode it looked like the girls also need therapy. These tool-enablers had to listen to their man’s boasting and lies. In this case a little self-respect goes a long way.
This weeks lesson was on communication. The women had to put a bed together while the men could only assist with advice. This proved to be too much for some but Man-panty “Matsuflex” aka Ryan and Jenna got the romantic evening as the winners.

At the elimination the man who put the least amount of effort into his relationship this week was Dimitri and for that he was expelled. His girlfriend Jill took him back. What a train wreck of a show!

What do you do with nine young men who are slackers, party boys, egotists, unappreciative boyfriends, playa‘s, gym rats, Greek gods, or strippers? You put them on a reality show. Tool Academy looks like the male version of Charm School but with testosterone and p’od girlfriends.
The contestants initially think they are competing for the title of Mr. Awesome (that in itself should tell you the caliber of men involved) but soon find out they are considered tools by their girlfriends. According to the VH1 web site, they will then be schooled in “proper boyfriend behavior such as honesty, fidelity, maturity, and communication.”
Trina Dolenz, a relationship counselor, will guide the boys throughout the show and one bad boy will be eliminated from the competition each week. After his elimination he must plead his case to his girlfriend to see if she still wants him. Double ouch…
Jordan Murphy, from For Love or Money fame, will be the tool host.
One thing I know is that “tools” don’t know they are “tools”.
