Croatia was Bridget’s next stop on her trip around the world to visit the worlds sexiest beaches. This time she went with 2007 Playboy Playmate of the Year Sarah Underwood (who didn’t know what a moat was).

They took a boat ride to Banje Beach and played picigin with some Croatian dudes in the water. They went to Dubrovnik which is a beautiful city and sits on the edge of the Adriatic Sea and in the words of Sarah Underwood, It couldn’t be “more perfecter”.

Lokrum Island was their next stop. It’s supposed to be cursed so Bridget had to check it out. She also went cliff diving, or in their case it was more like cliff jumping and screaming, off a 50 ft. cliff on the island.

They went to a seaside town called Nin and took a natural mud bath, ate an authentic Croatian meal, and got drunk on authentic Croatian tequila.

They went fishing off Palmizana Island and fished with a local. The squeal count was high with all the wiggly water creatures in the net. Later that day the women went skinny-dipping where Bridget got stung by a sea urchin.(this info is from her blog, so we didn’t get to see her frolicking while skinny-dipping and then screaming in pain).

Kendra is the first one to go.Then it was Bridget’s turn to leave. They had a bon voyage party for her and she described her new show to Hef, Bridget’s Sexiest Beaches. It will premiere on the Travel Channel, Thursday March 12 at 10 pm. est.  Bridget’s official web site

Even Holly left Hef for a “business” weekend in Vegas; with no mention of her relationship with Criss Angel (which has since ended).

All in all, it was handled pretty well and not too corny because of all the news we had heard in the news and on the web. This show is a forgone conclusion but it was necessary for the viewer to have closure with the cast. I think the next three women on deck have big shoes to fill. I can’t imagine they will succeed.

Girls Next Door-Season 4

Something is missing with this season of The Girls Next Door and I think I know what it is. The shroud of innocence about the woman’s relationships has been uncovered to the public and it looks even more made up than ever. Heck, I think we all knew that they were all fake girlfriends/boyfriend but now that they have since broken up it’s not as fun to watch.

Listening to Hef get called Puffin when you know Holly is with her magician doesn’t quite cut it. And I also know I will miss these particular ‘girls next door’ because they all had their quirks but all had unique personalities. The next posse of girlfriends have an impossible task to hurdle and I can’t imagine them succeeding at this show.

Kendra Wilkinson spilled the beans about life with Hugh Hefner at the Playboy Mansion in Us magazine interview and one of the things she let us in on were some rules of the mansion. Rules? That sounds way too militant for life in a hedonistic setting. Would you believe it? They had to wear dresses only. All holidays had to be celebrated at the mansion (they couldn‘t go home for Christmas or Thanksgiving). They were locked down in the gated mansion and “Every time you wanted to leave, they had to let you out,” she said. And there was no gum chewing allowed. (I kinda like that one, especially if they chew like a cow).

Kendra has sinced apologized to her ex-boyfriend for speaking so candidly about life at the mansion.

Hef’s ex-main squeeze has left her job as a junior photo editor for Playboy. As written on her MySpace blog last night, Holly has quit her job because she has moved to Las Vegas and that it was awkward working for Playboy. The job was becoming routine for her, “After two years of it, I no longer found it challenging.” and also said it wasn’t a fake job.

“If I had wanted a fake career for Girls Next Door, I would have stuck with the jewelry line because that required very little of my time. I spent way more than full time directing shoots, editing, making mock layouts and approving retouching.”

Maybe it’s because the viewing public got to know Hef’s three girlfriends on the Girls Next Door so seeing him with women young enough to be his great-grandchildren was almost palatable but now that he has three new girlfriends, to me it looks even worse (creepy worse).

19-year-old Shannon twins (Karissa and Kristina) are his newest arm candy. According to www.bridgetmarquardt.com “early this week, news broke that Hef has a new official third girlfriend, 22-year-old Crystal Harris.”

I know many men call him the “luckiest man in the world” but I think it’s eeeewwwwww!!!

Also on her web site, Bridget was quoted in an interview with Us Weekly. She opened “…up about her decision (to leave the ‘ol man), clearing things up at last.  “I was actually thinking about it for awhile,” she admitted.”

In more Playboy news, Hugh Hefner is in negotiations to have a biopic done on his life and experiences. Now that should be an interesting movie.

Sources close to the Playboy Mansion told www.eonline.com that the wedding and Hugh Hefner’s walk down the aisle is “…on for June. For now.” Could Kendra’s recent conservative turn have her questioning such a blatant symbol of her past show up on her big day? She has also decided her public nudity will be a thing of the past once she gets married. But that didn’t stop her from one last spread in the upcoming February issue of Playboy. According to the Official Web site of Kendra Wilkinson, all three former girlfriends of Hef will have their own covers in a “three version release”.

My favorite girl from The Girls Next Door is going to host a new show on the Travel Channel called Bridget’s Sexiest Beaches. She has that spark required to carry a show and I hope she does well. It will premiere on March 12 at 10/9. While all the drama was happening at the playboy mansion (Kendra’s engagement and Holly’s departure), Bridget was in Spain and Croatia filming for the new show.

Bridget Marquardt was born in Tillamook, Oregon on September 24, 1973. She has also developed her own line of perfume and bath products. Sounds like a bikini-themed beach show is right up her alley. Good luck to you, Bridget. I’ll miss your refreshing personality on the GND.
