The Bachelor Host, Chris Harrison

Chris Harrison was interviewed in this week’s Entertainment Weekly 2/27/09 by Lindsay Soll. He was asked “Burning Questions”? I found them very easy fluff questions, in my humble opinion.

Like,

(1) they make the ‘girls’ have options for evening wear on the first night so they won’t wear the same thing as another ‘girl’. Their stylist Cary Fetman goes to each room and makes suggestions.

(2) The producers purposely put women who aren’t getting along a group date, so the bachelor can see that for himself.

(3) What do the women do all day when they aren’t on a date? They work out, lay out by the pool…blah, blah, blah.

(4) The producer always know who the guy is kicking out so they decide the order for added drama.

(5) The taping lasts for 2 months. The exotic dates are an entire week and the hometown dates are a full day.

But, why didn’t she ask;

(1) Why wasn’t there one woman of color this season? Is Jason a racist? Was it the producers responsibility?

(2) Do they purposely pick women with drinking problems (at least one a season)?

(3) How much of this is scripted? Do you nudge the guy towards keeping the insane ones longer for added drama?
