Is Jason the “Bachelor” a racist?
Last night, I watched the premiere of the Bachelor and the usual parade of bachelorettes were interviewed at the beginning of the show (some getting cheated out of that process while others were lavished with much camera time).
But there was something missing. This might be the first time there hasn’t been one African-American woman among them. Usually, there are at least one or two at the beginning to show a pretense of equal opportunity. Now my question is…is that Jason’s dictate or something from casting? Or the producers?
The average viewer and I count myself as one of those, have no idea how these things work so I wonder if the process goes something like this. Jason talking to producer: I like women as tall or shorter than me, they must have a real curiosity about the world, they must like children, they must be blonde/brunette/redhead, they must have an education, they must be white???
Could it be that all the black women decided not to try out for that particular Bachelor? I would like to give him and ABC the benefit of the doubt.

I am not a fan of this show, but I did watch the last 10 minutes. I noticed the exact same thing. It could be a request of Jason. I don’t think the producers would ever attempt something like that. They would be opening up their program for criticism and debate (like this blog shows). Maybe the Bachelor has a “type” list that he submits to the casting people. I see that being the case versus the producers having any say in it.
i hope he’s not … i saw the premier episode and i thought he seemed like a sincere guy … he’s cute and i really like him and i hope he didnt have anything to do with it.
On the other hand, the mom in Mama’s boys at NBC is a true racist. She vocally expressed herself over and over that she doesnt want her son to date any black girl, asian girl, etc. I was fuming mad after seeing the first episode … so i stopped watching.
I should be “The Bachelor.”Though 55(fifty-six July 6;said to look 35-40),I’m said to
look like the “Brad” doll-Barbie’s boyfriend Ken’s handsome black buddy, but animate,35-40 years later-Brad existed from about 1970-’72-bald,muscular,beefy
(5′9”,210 lb.),but just as good-looking.
