Survivor will premiere on Thursday, February 12 at 8 and will be the 18th season. It will also be the season with the youngest contestant. Spencer Duhn from Lakeland, FL is 19 years old and is a student at the University of Florida. He along with the other competitors will be left to survive amidst scorching temperatures, torrential downpours, and dangerous wildlife in Tocantin, Brazil for 39 days.

The theme for this season has to do with first impressions and one person from each tribe will be chosen to remain behind based on these first impressions.

Survivor: Tocantins will premiere on CBS  Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 8 pm. EST

My favorite True Beauty contestant was voted off the show.

CJ

The 26 year old barista from L.A. had to leave the show when the three judges, Nole Marin, Cheryl Tiegs, and judge/host Vanessa Minnillo showed him his secret failed tests. I thought they gave some shaky reasons for letting him go because he really did understand what true beauty meant and he passed all 3 final tests too.

Billy

Billy was sent to the Hall of Beauty with CJ but got to stay because they thought he was sincere in his last plea and he passed the first test of the night (giving the senior citizen his seat). That was his lucky night.

They started out with 15 women and whittled it down to 1 (Corn Fed). Chance didn’t choose any woman, which is better than leading them on and makes for a much more dramatic reunion show. They were all angry at him and did not keep their tongues in their pockets at all. He was accused by Stalker as being gay and even gave him a new clock which stated It’s Time To Come Out!

CornFed and Real appeared to be on shaky grounds but they did say they were going to try things out and move slowly. Which in reality lingo means ‘let’s wait a few months and then announce our breakup so we can have another show’.

Will he stay with Cornfed?

On the football-themed Biggest Loser this week, Dan and Dave are now gone from the Biggest Loser campus in Malibu, CA. They were up against father and son team Mike and Ron. Dave who had only been on the show for a week didn’t have the same attitude as Dan but has now quit smoking and is working out a lot. Dan has been taken off his diabetes medication and is running daily. Each of them sounded positive about staying home and living a healthy life.

Pink Team member Helen won immunity thus enabling her daughter to come back to the ranch and continue with the competition.

This week in the therapy room on Tool Academy, Trina Dolenz wanted to teach the couples about humility. One guy didn’t even know what humility was and thought it had to do with humor. The test was saying the truth while wearing a bullet proof vest. Huh?

Poor Shawn the stickyup hairdo’d guy cried and poured his guts out. Rob even stepped up and spoke the truth. wow Could this actually be working? Or else, the writers let them have more time to study their lines. Josh the “Tiny Tool” said he wanted to fess up to his girl Ashley about his disrespectful ways so he told her he thought his girl was fat and a 6. Clarence (Celebrity) told the truth about not wanting to change and prefering his toolish lifestyle. So she got to whale on a punching bag to get her anger out. The Humility Challenge was held at Universal Studios. They had to raise the most money in order to win and had to act the fool and humble themselves. Rob let people kick and punch him for a buck and got third place. Tommy got second and Shawn won first.

Because he said he wouldn’t change and for his showing off at the challenge, Clarence got expelled and his girl Cameron dumped him. Not a good night for him…

Shannon

On last nights The Bachelor, many of the girls cried. It must be getting to them. Gee, you think it could be having camera’s on you while you compete for the “love” of one man with several beautiful women all at once?

Nikki

Nikki could hardly keep it together through the singing competition or her two-on-one date with cheek implant/botoxed Stephanie. So she got the axe. Despite her slightly kooky ways I kinda like Nikki.

During the ‘coming up’ segments before the commercials, host Chris Harrison eluded to a shocking moment at the end when Jason breaks the rules. OMG How could he? Leaving us watching with bated breath…

So at the rose ceremony, Jason broke the rules by not handing out the final rose leaving Megan, Lauren, and Shannon in shock. He said he couldn’t lead any of them on. Shannon left saying she was going to give her puppy “the biggest French kisses” when she gets home…uh, that and dismantling the Jason altar she had in the back room of her house.

At the end Jason is left with Stephanie, Naomi, Molly, Melissa, and Jillian.

On this weeks Rock of Love Bus, Bret made the ten women compete for VIP treatment at a concert by seeing who can dismantle a stage fastest. Of course he sent them a note before the competition saying to dress in party clothes (which translated as slutty and inappropriate) so many of the women were falling out of their outfits while bending over all the stage equipment. Too Much for Bret

The winning team followed him to the concert and partied onstage with him and that’s when Marcia made the mistake which sent her home. She gave away the bracelet Bret gave her earlier that day. Apparently he does not like it when his women are generous to his fans. Anyway, that was his excuse. Gee, I thought he would have sent her home for being drunk at 8 in the morning on Tequila. Now that woman needs to go to rehab.

Lawn Mower Racing started in Britain in 1973 but began in the U.S. in 1991. Wreckreation Nation showed the National Championship Finals of the Lawn Mower Racing Association held in Delaware, Ohio.
The engines used start off with a stock 13 horsepower and get modified to 37 horsepower. Once tricked out these lawn mowers can reach up to 80 mph. The racers are serious about their sport and have a love of racing these tiny machines.
Host Dave Mordel got to try out the course and received a crash course on racing. It looked like a lot of fun. Dave said, “It was most excellent!”

Next the finals were shown. Each race starts off with the racers sprinting to their respective mowers. The Grandma racer Becky over-corrected and flipped hers. She was fine but was out of the race. Kevin got the checkered flag.
In the novice class, Dave Mordel got to ride and got in the groove but said his hands were shaking at the end. He finished last and got beat out by a kid. They were nice enough to give him an honorary 1st place trophy.
These people take things very seriously and even have a mowers prayer which started the race. In the finals, they were going in excess of 40 mph. Kevin won the nationals championship.

Melissa would like Bret to apologize for his harsh bleeped words when she exited the show. According to a celebreality interview on the VH1 web site, she said wasn’t eliminated by him but left on her own.

When he eliminated you, he cursed at you. Harsh, no?

Well, he didn’t eliminate me, I eliminated myself, but yeah, his words after I said I wanted to go were harsh. He cursed at me, which is rude. I just didn’t want to be there anymore. It wasn’t worth it to me to deal with all the girls, to have to be there and deal with all that for someone I thought wasn’t really there for love.

Melissa also said she had her implants done again in case the leak was there and they couldn’t detect it.

But the most interesting part of Melissa’s interview is her take on the phone incident, so if this is true then Shame On Rock of Love Bus for twisting and fabricating the story. Here is the question and answer from the Celebreality interview…

What about the phone call incident? When Bret confronted you, you told him you never made the call.

I didn’t. It wasn’t until I was off the show that I made the phone call you hear me on. I never made a phone call on the show. That was Brittaney Starr on the bed. That’s her jacket and her ring on her finger. How would the girls have heard me from the hotel, anyway?  If you look at those shots, you see that the conversation is happening on the bus. Also, I never made fun of Bret’s extensions. I just stated that he has them. I didn’t find out till I was off the show that it was Brittanya and Natasha who said they heard me on the cell phone. I wish I could have defended myself because I had information about both of them that could have gotten them kicked off the show.

And the dirt? Well, according to Melissa both girls have current boyfriends.

Harried Radhika

No matter how they edit a show sometimes you just know who is going home and on this weeks Top Chef, it was Radhika. You can’t hide terrible service, poor team leadership, or a slow mind.

Carla Sends Love with her food

Although Carla trying to “send love” along with crappy desserts was a close second. What was that all about? I thought her eyes were going to fall out of her head when she defended her choice in sending out melted sorbet. I don’t see her lasting much longer even if her bio on the Top Chef web site describes her as owner/chef of Alchemy Caterers and that she is a graduate of C.C.T. L’Academie de Cuisine.

So who is left? Carla, of course, Stephan, Hosea along with his non-girlfriend Leah, Jamie, Fabio who did very well in front of the restaurant this week, and Jeff.
